The Earth Day 2012 Results

The 22nd of April was a day that inspired many! Not only because so many cleanups took place around the Red Sea region, but also because the youngest in the community participated the most enthusiastically. For many adults, cleaning is just another duty, responsibility, something that they would rather give somebody else to do, rather than doing it themselves. But for children from Futures School, German School, Baladna Kindergarten (in association with KQB), and for School of Mentally Disabled Children of Safaga, this event was enjoyable! The Earth Day for them was a not a responsibility or duty, it was something that they have discovered during this day, that will make them valuable citizens of Egypt. These children should be an example for many adults! And many adults should also be an example! Amwaj Spa, Aquarius Red Sea, Blue Paradise, BlueOTwo, Dive Point Red Sea, Ducks Diving Quiser, Ducks Diving Safaga, Emperor Divers in El Gouna, Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh, Ilios Diving, Jasmin Diving Center, Madinat Makadi, Mӧvenpick Hotel and Resort, Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh, Red Sea Diving Safari, Spiritual World Diving Federation aka Al Mashrabeya, Sheraton Miramar El Gouna and Soma Bay, Steigenberger Al Dau, VooDoo Divers, Shams Resort, Orca Diving, Barakuda Lotus Bay, Mena Dive and Dune. We salute you! Great job and outstanding results of totaling amount of over 500 garbage bags collected during this one single day! The cleanups took place on the land, in the sea and on the islands! Every day we are witnessing negligence towards our environment. But isn’t it this exactly environment that provides for us? Isn’t it the Mother Earth who gives us the ingredients for our living? Earth Day 2012 was an astonishing event; however, we should not forget to act responsibly towards the smallest living creature on this planet, as even the smallest animal plays an important part in our precious ecosystem! So please, bear in mind that the plastic bottle you threw in to the sea or outside your car window, will at some point, damage and disturb already sensitive environment. Thus, act responsibly and respectfully towards the nature, just like it does to you. The HEPCA team is extremely proud to have such an amazing community members, who found time to organize even the smallest cleanup. Tiny or big action had always been more effective than the greatest words ever said! That is why we cannot express how much we are appreciative of your involvement and participation! Once again: THANK YOU AND WELL DONE!
